Balnarring Vineyard wines are made on the vineyard. The range is entirely Mornington Peninsula, with the exception of the Sangiovese Merlot. Viticulture is the key to the quality – pristine grapes that have been bathed in sunshine over the summer & autumn. The grapes are either grown at Balnarring Vineyard or at a vineyard that specifically grows for Balnarring Vineyard. The range of varieties grown & made at Balnarring Vineyard is a window to the future – especially the complimentary Pinot Grigio Friulano blend, the Sangiovese Merlot blend and the rarely seen variety – muscat a petit grains blanc.
The winery has a history, once an apple cool store, the facility was first used as a winery in the 1980’s and has evolved over the years, combining old pieces of machinery with new technology. The farm minutia illustrated on every label, encapsulates a winemaking philosophy of appreciating old applications in the pursuit of new styles & ideas.
Balnarring Vineyard wines are delicious drink now wines with pure flavours and a rustic tone.
